Approach
In-House Portfolio Management
Managed where the decisions are made. Portfolios built and managed at the position level, in-house, custodied at Altruist.
Not outsourced
Many advisory practices outsource the actual investment work. A third-party model manager, often called a TAMP, builds the portfolio, and the advisor sitting across from you is really just delivering someone else's decisions. At Fountainhead Wealth Advisors, that step stays in-house.
We build and manage portfolios ourselves, at the position level. That means when you own a stock, a bond, or a fund, someone on our team made that specific decision and can walk you through the reasoning behind it. You are not getting a summary of a model built by an outside firm. You are getting the explanation from the person who chose the holding.
Why this matters
Transparency is easier when there is no middle layer. You can see what you own, and the person explaining it is the person who chose it. That is a simple standard, but it is not the industry norm, and it is the one we hold ourselves to. It also means the conversation about your portfolio can go as deep as you want it to, because the answers are not several steps removed from the decision-making.
The structure behind it
Advisory services are offered through Fountainhead Fiduciary, LLC, a state-registered investment adviser. Securities are offered through Emerson Equity LLC, member FINRA/SIPC. Client accounts are custodied at Altruist, an independent custodian. We hold no proprietary investment products of our own, which means the portfolio built for you is built from the investment landscape broadly, not steered toward something we have a financial stake in selling.
See how it works, in practice
If you would like to see how a portfolio would actually be built and explained to you, we would welcome the conversation.
